Blaze Terra is a comprehensive software package providing a rich set of geoprocessing capabilities for presenting, manipulating and analyzing GIS data in a 3D environment. On-the-Fly 3D Creation
Blaze Terra can be used for real-time 3D visualization of an area based on standard geographic imagery without preprocessing. Draping any format of 2D, vector, or raster image over Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Blaze Terra can accurately represent topographic features in 3D with no need for conversion. Blaze Terra is capable of reprojecting geodesic elevation data on-the-fly as well as fusing multiple elevation layers of different resolutions, formats, reprojections, and datum. Blaze Terra makes the most out of DEM, all in real time.
Blaze Terra arms users with sophisticated tools to run terrain analysis tasks thereby accessing the full value of GIS data. Blaze Terra’s high-performance viewshed analysis generates a unique visibility view of both 3D and 2D terrain scenes, updated in real-time. With Blaze terra, users can display vector layers from various files and databases, build a spatial-index on-the-fly, and reproject vector layers to various supported coordinate systems. Users can measure vertical path profiles, terrain volume, and surface areas over terrain. All analysis tasks are able to handle enormous files of any type and are performed on-the-fly, without preprocessing.
Manipulation and Effects
Blaze Terra is equipped with alteration/modification tools that allow users to manipulate and add valuable enhancements to their terrain displays in real time. Measurements and paths created using the analysis tools can be annotated using many geographic annotations such as placemarks, arrows, lines, scribbles, and various geometric figures. Annotations can then be elevated above sea level or draped onto a terrain. Applying atlas-shading (altitude-based coloring) using color palettes, calculating contour lines with configurable spacing, and adding directional lighting effects to terrain (including slope and shading) can be applied simply and seamlessly, without preprocessing.
